The other day I wrote about how my amazing friend/set designer transformed XCVI’s warehouse into a barn for our Summer 2011 Photo Shoot. Well, the photos have been retouched! Yesterday I photographed XCVI for their Summer 2011 Photo Shoot. We shot the beautiful as always, Joy. My set designer, Katie, turned a portion of the XCVI warehouse into a barn! It was pretty amazing so I couldn’t help but share some of the photos from behind the scenes (Thanks to Daniela from XCVI for most of these pics).

Another fun photo shoot with XCVI is wrapped and the photos have been retouched. The mix of working with my wonderful crew, photographing such an amazing model (and friend), and working with one of my favorite clients really makes XCVI shoots such a pleasure. Next up is editing the video look book I shot in between taking the photos. Hopefully I will get that up in the next few days. Stay posted!

I always have such a great time working with XCVI. I love them and I love my crew who works with me on their shoots! Yesterday was no different. We photographed the Resort 2010 Look Book, using Dawn as a model. The idea was to photograph Dawn against a clean white background. After I do the retouching, XCVI’s illustrator will draw a Parisian scene around Dawn, using (my favorite movie) Breathless as inspiration. I can’t wait to see the final product! In the meantime please check out two short videos I put together; one shot very quickly with my iPhone using the app VintageMaker, and the other put together with stills from a camera we left on a tripod throughout the day. Last week I photographed the XCVI Fall ‘10 clothing line. This time we mixed things up a bit by shooting in their warehouse in Los Angeles. It was neat to see where the magic happens!
The photo shoot was really fun. We had bags and bags of feathers to play with, a few fans, a wonderful model and crew. Please click on the photo below to see a web gallery of all the final images!

Last week I photographed the new Summer 2010 line for XCVI (click for site). Our plan was to shoot outside and spend a leisurely time taking photos. After checking the weather report every day for over a week, I didn’t think there was any way it would rain. But there it was! At 8am when everyone was showing up at my place for hair and makeup, drops of water were coming down from the sky. Since we weren’t prepared for this, my wonderful prop stylist Katie and I had to think quick. Katie brought all the props and set materials into my dining room. With the help of my wonderful assistants Isabella and Michelle, we created a magical forest right inside my dining room. All’s well that ends well!
