Kelsey Brooks for Nylon Guys

Posted on March 3rd, 2010 by Tamar.

A couple months ago I was asked to drive to San Diego to photograph the very talented artist Kelsey Brooks for Nylon Guys Magazine. Ollie was amazing enough to come down with me. As we always do, we had a great time! We gave Kelsey quite a workout by having him do back flips, front flips, hand stands, and more. Here is the final image, below! Please click on it to enlarge and go to your local newsstand or bookshop for the March Issue of Nylon Guys!

Dum Dum Girls for Nylon Magazine

Posted on February 24th, 2010 by Tamar.

The other week I was sent to one of my favorite late-night diners called The Brite Spot in Echo Park to photograph Dee Dee of the Dum Dum Girls. It was a super quick shoot (we had no permit to shoot there and weren’t allowed lights), but definitely fun nonetheless! Below is a tear from the magazine. The issue is out now! Go to your local magazine stand or book shop and look for the Nylon Magazine March issue.

Here are some outtakes from the shoot:

Glitterati Magazine- Behind the Scenes

Posted on February 14th, 2010 by Tamar.

I did a fashion shoot yesterday for Glitterati Magazine, and the lovely Michelle Paulsen took some behind-the-scene photos. We had an all-lady crew and everyone was amazing. Pics to come, but in the meantime check out Michelle’s photos by clicking on the image below!

Eric Morris for UCLA Magazine

Posted on January 4th, 2010 by Tamar.

Here is a spread I shot for UCLA Magazine of urban planner Eric Morris! I love shooting with them, especially since we always have so much fun. This time we shot guerilla-style in Downtown LA. No permit, just a hand-held mini strobe, a tripod, and my 5D. Please click for larger version.

Kelsey Brooks

Posted on December 17th, 2009 by Tamar.

I took a little road trip yesterday to photograph artist Kelsey Brooks for Nylon Guys Magazine. Ollie came with me for company and we had fun like we always do. We photographed Kelsey in a gallery in La Jolla called Quint Contemporary Art. If you are around that area, Kelsey’s show will be up for the next couple days.

Photos to come later on, but in the meantime here is a camera phone video Ollie took of Kelsey doing back flips! (He also did head stands!)
