The idea of the shoot came to me after I photographed Katrina, the founder of the Hollywood Bathing Beauties; a synchronized swim team here in Hollywood. She is a model and I photographed her for a look book for a clothing company I work with. I chatted with her at the shoot and she had mentioned her swim team. I thought they sounded so interesting I wanted to come up with an idea for a shoot with them! I wanted to play on the Esther Williams movies, and do a vintage swim shoot with a twist to it. My stylist on the shoot, Tashina, has such an amazing vintage style that I just had to ask her to do the shoot with me. She actually handmade all the black coverups the girls are wearing, in two days flat!

The day of the shoot it was pouring (weather was scheduled to be 75 and sunny), but the show must go on, so we shot in the freezing, pouring rain which helped with the eerie twist I was looking for. I just kinda went with it. All the girls at the shoot were such troopers!

Yesterday I did a photo shoot in collaboration with Ryan Schude, a friend and amazing photographer. We had a long day but excited to show the results! Here are some shots I did for Rachel, the academy director at the Toni and Guy Academy in Orange County a couple weeks ago! There were 12 models, so here is just a handful of the photos I did. LOVED the hairstyles she came up with!

I just finished making a music video for my friend Ollie, of the LA band The Oohlas. She is getting ready to release her solo debut EP under the name Hustle Roses on February 1st.

I am so happy for her and it was a ton of fun making this video for her new single, “Alive”. Check it out below, and check out her website to hear some more music, at hustleroses.com! I also shot the photos for the EP, which you can see below as well!
